ITR wins contract for Inkjet Printing Machinery Manufacturer 15 February 2004 -
London UK
ITR is pleased to announce that it has won a major contract for the translation of
user documentation for a major UK-based Inkjet Printing Machinery Manufacturer. The
project involves the translation of documentation for the entire model range into
various European and Asian languages. The client selected ITR because of its proactive and consultative approach in
looking at the upstream operations and document development process. ITR proposed
strategies and advice on changing processes in order to reduce translation costs
without sacrificing quality. John Fisher, ITR's marketing director, said, "Our client appreciated our flexible
and proactive approach in looking at translation as part of the complete product and
document development process, rather than as a bolt-on extra. Additionally, they were
having problems with previous suppliers with regard to translation quality. We are
getting to grips with these legacy issues to establish robust policies and procedures
to ensure customer satisfaction in all markets". The first changes to the document development process have now been implemented,
and these have resulted in substantial cost reductions whilst improving quality. This
process is ongoing and more initiatives will be implemented over the coming 12
months. For further information on ITR's proactive and consultative approach, contact John Fisher, Marketing Director.
