Translation of approximately 14,000 pages of SGML-coded service and repair text into Thai in 5 months.

Project Methodology

• Extensive existing glossaries, previously approved by client's local offices, formed the basis of these translations
• Previous source and target language texts aligned to create Translation Memories
• New source materials automatically translated where identical to previous matter, so expediting the process and ensuring consistency
• Outstanding materials translated using Translation Memory tools to optimise future re-use
• Translations edited to ensure no misinterpretation or ambiguity
• SGML coding automatically verified against source file to ensure integrity
• Translated files published to printed manual format
• Full foreign language texts proofread to ensure error-free translation that corresponded exactly to source language files
• Finalised translated files transferred via FTP to the client's information repository
