using ITR in-house software engineers, in partnership with client development
teams in Australia and the United States. Project Methodology - Translation of terms for GUI and Help made by leveraging existing
translation memories
- Consistency achieved with glossary and terms approved by client's
overseas offices
- Application built in dedicated secure environment at ITR, including
the simulation of a telecommunications switch, with client on-site engineer
assistance
- International test plan developed at ITR and approved by client's
QA department
- Software built and tested repeatedly according to international
test plan, with test iterations performed by several linguists working with
software engineers
- Localisations checked for errors and inconsistencies, and
subsequently re-tested
- Updates from client incorporated as required, integrity ensured
through the use of versioning source control software
- Fully tested localised application returned to client on two CDs
per language, one set to autorun and install, one containing the final
source code. Ahead of schedule!
