Two such tools are: ITR BlackJack - translation quality evaluation tool Description ITR BlackJack is a translation quality evaluation tool based on ITR's 21-point translation quality evaluation methodology. Motivation Originally developed by ITR for internal use as a translation quality evaluation tool, ITR BlackJack was launched as a fully-fledged product available to the whole translation industry in July 2002. See ITR BlackJack for more details. Results ITR BlackJack enables the measurement of translation quality. ITR TermBroker - terminology management tool Description ITR TermBroker is a distributed terminology management system that can be customised and implemented for an individual client's requirements. ITR TermBroker allows all levels of terminology users (authors, editors, translators, terminologists, validators, etc.) to access project-specific terminology securely over the internet. Technology TermBroker is a cross-platform (MS Windows NT/2000 and Linux) database tool based on open standards such as SQL, Unicode and XML. Terminology can be imported from and exported to a number of open and proprietary formats. Motivation ITR TermBroker was initially developed to address the challenge of rationalising multilingual terminology in a client's environment. Results The process of creating, distributing and maintaining consistent terminology in multiword projects is simpler and more efficient.
