Warehouse Manager

Main Purpose

 

As Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the warehouse. You will ensure  there is a focus on continuously improving processes and procedures. With strong leadership skills, you will act as a role model to your team, and work collaboratively with the wider organisation to achieve the ‘Over and above’ ethos that is a core part of ITR.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • To manage and oversee the efficient use of ITR’s assets using our rental management system, inspHire
  • Oversee and assist the equipment picking, preparation and packing operation in accordance with company procedures
  • Create direction and provide overall management support to the service centre
  • Manage and drive your team to achieve agreed KPI targets
  • Ensure your teams carry out tasks to the correct standards and in line with all health and safety guidance
  • Manage the flow of communication through the business, ensuring every department has the information they need well in advance
  • Ensure equipment storage areas, and the wider warehouse environment, comply with health and safety best practice
  • Be accountable for the reported stock levels in inspHire, ensuring they are always accurate through regular stock takes
  • Work with senior management, helping the company to consistently grow and improve in all areas
  • Ensure all equipment is ready to leave the building at the specified time, and to the specified quality levels
  • Ensure all equipment is fully checked, tested and accounted for upon its return to ITR.
  • Oversee the production of loss and damage reports for customers, at all times making sure the information can be trusted

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

Essential

  • Strong managerial experience and skills with the ability to motivate a team to achieve the goals of the business
  • Ability to manage change within a team
  • A minimum of two years of audio visual/event technology experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and have the flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • A flexible approach to work with a desire to grow and develop within the role as business grows
  • A confident and assertive manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eye for detail and be able to create and improve current policies and procedures
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Experience of inspHire
  • Avixa CTS certification
  • Previous warehouse management experience
